My research focuses on applied hydrogeophysics - that is investigations of hydrological science questions utilizing near-surface geophysics. My PhD thesis assessed the role of northern peatlands on the global carbon cycle non-invasively by estimating biogenic methane accumulations in the suburface using ground-penetrating radar (GPR). Now as a postdoc at Stanford University, I will be focusing on estimating aquifer properties using GPR and nuclear magnetic resonance technology.
